Lexington Leader photographer Ralph Looney, perhaps looking for some comic relief after shooting the KHSAA 43rd District basketball tournament in March 1946, set up a ‘gag’ photo of three male Henry Clay cheerleaders having their legs ‘judged’ by Latin School cheerleader Joan Rehm, left and Lafayette cheerleader Rose Crowe. The three Henry Clay cheerleaders were Bobby Utterback, Jimmy Wyrick and Tommy Gallegher. Lafayette won the district tournament beating Henry Clay 28-25 in Alumni Gym.
