A sellout crowd of 55,456 turned out for the Cincinnati Reds opening day game against the Montreal Expos at Riverfront Stadium, April 5, 1993. The Reds, shown here with the Expos during the National Anthem before the game, won 2-1. Manager Tony Pérez, shown first from left in the line of Reds players, was fired 44 games into the season and replaced by Davey Johnson. Shortstop and future Hall of Famer Barry Larkin is fourth from left. Cincinnati finished the season 73-89, 5th in the NL West.
