Cincinnati Reds third baseman Pete Rose at Keeneland during the Fall Meet, Oct. 22, 1977. Rose, the all-time Major League Baseball leader in hits, was at the track with Reds manager Sparky Anderson and Lexington’s Doug Flynn, a former teammate who was then with the New York Mets.
