University of Kentucky basketball coach Joe B. Hall greeted fans on March 28, 1978, as the NCAA national champion Wildcats arrived at Blue Grass Field. Kentucky defeated Duke 94-88 in the championship game the night before in St. Louis. About 7,000 fans waited inside the airport terminal for the team to arrive.
