Commonwealth Stadium expansion in January 1999 included enclosing both end zones with more seating. Also added were 40 suites, 10 in each corner of the stadium. The expansion, which cost $27.6 million, included new video boards, new scoreboards and additional restrooms and concession stands. It also raised seating capacity to 67,942.
