The University of Kentucky’s Marc Logan got a ride off the field on the shoulders of running backs coach Greg Nord after the Wildcats’ 10-3 victory over Florida on UK’s Senior Day, Nov. 15, 1986, at Commonwealth Stadium. The win snapped a six-game losing streak against the Gators. Unfortunately for Kentucky, the Cats have not beaten Florida since that game, almost 28 years ago. That game was Logan’s last game at home. He is seventh on UK’s career rushing list with 1,769 yards. He went on to play 10 years in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl with San Francisco in 1995. Nord, who was on Kentucky’s coaching staff from 1979 to 1989, later spent 15 seasons on Louisville’s coaching staff before returning to Kentucky for the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
