Construction of New Circle Road at the intersection of Leestown Road, November 1960. Town Branch runs along the bottom of the photo and the Meadowthorpe neighborhood is seen at the top right. The area in the middle on the right side is now a number of hotels, stores townhomes and restaurants such as Applebee's, Zaxby's and Taco Bell. Further to the right of that is the Meadowthorpe Shopping Center which includes a Kroger grocery store. On the far left in the middle, is what us now Leestown Middle School.
