Cindy Clouse of Nicholasville sat in her hospital bed at the UK Medical Center, holding her twin daughters, on Jan. 1, 1991. One daughter was probably the last child born in Lexington, at 11:47 p.m. on Dec. 31, and the other one was the first born in the new year, at 12:02 a.m. The then-unnamed babies weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces and 7 pounds 3 ounces, respectively.
