LexTran Transit Center construction, 1991

A view of what would become LexTran’s new transit center on Vine Street, Dec. 30, 1991. The $13 million transit center flanked both sides of the Harrison viaduct, now know as Martin Luther King Boulevard. LexTran began using the center on a limited basis as a bus stop and transfer station in May 1992. The center officially opened July 1, 1992. Photo by Robin Tinay Sallie | Staff
